Dubai Municipality Launches “DMChecked” – The Next Generation Food Safety and Inspection Platform

Dubai, UAE — Dubai Municipality has officially launched DMChecked, a new digital platform designed to transform how food businesses in Dubai manage safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance. The system replaces the previous FoodWatch Connect application and introduces smarter tools, faster workflows, and real-time data sharing between businesses and inspectors.

Building on the success of FoodWatch Connect, which allowed thousands of food establishments to perform self-inspections under the Municipality’s FoodWatch framework, DMChecked expands that concept into a fully integrated cloud-based compliance ecosystem.

The DMChecked app allows restaurant managers, food-safety officers, and inspectors to record, track, and verify inspections instantly from mobile devices, ensuring that every food outlet meets the highest hygiene and safety standards set by Dubai Municipality.

Key features of DMChecked include:

Real-time inspection recording and submission Smart notifications and follow-up reminders Integrated corrective action tracking for faster resolution Transparent data sharing between businesses and regulators A simplified, mobile-friendly dashboard for Android and iOS

A spokesperson from Dubai Municipality’s Food Safety Department stated that DMChecked represents the city’s continued commitment to innovation and public health. By digitising inspection and compliance workflows, Dubai Municipality aims to create greater efficiency, traceability, and transparency across all food sectors.

DMChecked replaces FoodWatch Connect, which was previously used for manual self-inspections and compliance tracking. Businesses already registered on the FoodWatch platform will be migrated automatically to DMChecked to ensure a smooth transition without data loss.

The new platform is available for restaurants, cafes, catering services, central kitchens, food factories, delivery vehicles, and all licensed Persons in Charge (PICs) operating under Dubai Municipality’s regulations.

DMChecked can be downloaded from the Google Play Store at:

DMChecked marks the next stage of progress by consolidating multiple systems into one unified platform.

With DMChecked, Dubai Municipality continues to advance its goal of a fully digital, transparent, and efficient food-safety environment that protects public health and supports a world-class dining industry.
